Give Kids the Extra Credit
Arizona Tax Credit
A dollar-for-dollar state tax credit — $200 per individual return, $400 per joint return — that funds extracurricular activities and character education at South Pointe.
You can help students have the greatest success by giving them the opportunity to participate in the “extra” — extracurricular activities. Your donation is a dollar-for-dollar tax credit, and a great way to support the school of your choice through the Arizona tax credit program. Please consider South Pointe Elementary when making your tax credit contribution.
Commonly Asked Questions
Do I have to have children enrolled in school?
No. Any Arizona individual paying state income tax can make a tax credit contribution — parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and more.
How does this work on my tax return?
When you file your state taxes, record the contribution on Form 322 (downloadable from the State). A $400 contribution increases a refund by $400 or reduces a liability by $400 — though you cannot receive a refund greater than your state income tax assessment for the year.
Do I have to donate the full amount?
No — donate any amount up to $200 for individual filers or $400 for married filing jointly. A $50 or $100 donation still applies to Form 322 the same way.
Who can donate, and by when?
Tax donations can be accepted only from individuals filing returns, not businesses. Contributions must be dated and turned in on or before December 31 to be credited to that year’s income tax.
How to Donate
