Hunger No More

School Pantry & Garden Program

Healthy food access, nutrition education, and hands-on gardening for our students, families, and community.

At South Pointe Elementary School, we believe every child deserves access to healthy food and opportunities to learn lifelong wellness habits. Through our Hunger No More Initiative, we are expanding support for families by combining healthy food access, nutrition education, and hands-on gardening experiences. The initiative builds upon our growing student-managed garden program and our partnership with Spaces of Opportunity to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to families — and in partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank, we offer regular pantry distributions to support families experiencing food insecurity.

How the Program Works

  • Family sign-up: register through the online form — registration helps us prepare food quantities and better serve our community
  • Monthly food requests: families may request pantry items up to $50 per month based on availability; orders are prepared by the school pantry team — allow 48 hours for processing, and items are filled while supplies last
  • Pick-up & distribution: you’ll receive a confirmation email when your order is ready; pickups take place on campus during scheduled distribution times

Growing Healthy Families Together

The Hunger No More Initiative is more than a food pantry — it is a community-centered effort focused on increasing access to healthy foods, teaching nutrition and healthy cooking habits, supporting families experiencing food insecurity, connecting students to gardening and sustainability, and strengthening school and community partnerships. Together, we are helping our students and families grow healthier, stronger, and more connected.
