Hello Everyone!
Tomorrow is our NWEA Map Reading Assessment. Please make sure your kiddos get enough rest so they can meet and exceed their goals. 
Tomorrow at 4:30pm is also our annual poetry slam. Our class wrote an original epic poem called "Dragon." Each student has their own line, so I would love it if everyone were to attend!

Science fair packets went out this week, so be sure to get started on those right away! Not everyone got one, so if you're not sure if your kiddo signed up, please let me know. 

Read 30 minutes. 

Write me a paragraph telling me what you want to be when you grow up.

Everyone BREATHE! AZMerit Testing is over for the year. We still have some NWEA testing to do in two weeks, but right now we can all just relax. 
For those parents that donated snacks, I thank you. I know the kids were appreciative of them, as was I. 
We will begin normal schedules tomorrow!

The AZMerit Math Assessment is tomorrow and Wednesday. Please make sure your kiddo is getting tons of rest! If you have headphones, please send them in as well. :) I know the will show this assessment who is boss! 

We have parent teacher conferences this week. The days are Thursday from 4pm-6pm and Friday from 1pm-4pm. Tomorrow I will be sending home sign up sheets that you can send back with your students to pick a time. If you would rather tell me via email, that is also ok. I hope you schedule an in person conference so we can go over your student's work and have a refresher for their goals for the upcoming NWEA.
If you cannot attend in person, phone and email conferences are encouraged. As many of you know, you can even reach me over the weekends via email. I want to make sure you all get the updates and praises for your kiddos!

Don't forget, tomorrow and Wednesday we take the AZMerit Reading Assessment. Please make sure your students come rested! We need them focused to pass this test. 
I also said that if we have perfect attendance for testing, I will through a pizza party. We had perfect attendance for the Writing portion of the assessment, so lets do it again!

​Today I sent home a practice reading assessment to get the students ready for the reading AZMerit next week. That is all they have to do this weekend.

We need classroom donations for snacks for the AZMerit testing days. We are testing twice next week for Reading. Then the following week we are testing again two days for Math. I have 28 students, so please take that into account. 

Also, we need pencils. I think we have a gnome who steals them after class is over. :)
